Jan 30, 2022 · Hello, This issue concerns OneDrive on an M1 Pro Macbook Pro running on Mac OS Monterey. I have created a volume "Workspace" for keeping my work-related files and chose that "Workspace" volume for my OneDrive folder. Now the OneDrive folder in the "Workspace" volume shows a sign indicating it is an alias.

A message from Microsoft popped up saying I was running two versions of one drive and I should click on OneDrive preferences to see which version I was running and delete the other. That didn't work (Preferences greyed out), so I ended up dragging OneDrive to the recycle bin, and trying to re-install it again. Check the file system of the drive. Open File Explorer. Right-click the drive and choose Properties. On the General tab, next to File system, see if it says NTFS. If the file system is FAT or FAT32, refer to the next section.
