One would then plug the line going into the fuel pump. One would then mix 50 to 1. 2.6 oz per gallon. I mix 43 or 45 to 1, which is 3 oz per gallon. So much easier to measure.

Simply connect the oil pump "in" and the oil pump "out" fittings with the tube. If you fill the tube with oil the pump will happily pump the oil through itself forever.
