Laser etching metal

Laser engraving/laser marking is the actual process that removes (vaporize) part of metal from its surface. High energy pulse heats up the metal creating a hot plasma. That plasma flies away leaving an empty space on its surface. That allows getting in-depth laser engraving and you can watch the video of the process below.

Laser etching metal. Metal engraving is used for the marking of text, logos, pictures, numbers, 2D codes, the list is endless. Industries marking metal are various, from jewellery to medical, automotive, aeronautics, and energy, to name a few. Our laser marking and engraving is done without contact, and does not require any pre-treatment or post-treatment.

Metal Marking with a CO2 Laser. CO2 laser machines can directly mark a variety of coated metals such as anodized aluminum or powder coated stainless steel. However, bare metals reflect the wavelength of a CO2 laser, meaning direct marking typically requires a fiber laser source. Fortunately for CO2 laser owners, there’s another great option.
