So my almost fully stock (no wheel or suspension mods or tune) 2016 GMC Canyon CCSB All terrain, developed the shudder/chuggle around 20k miles on it. First I dismissed it to new winter tires and some rough driving. We adjusted balance/alignment. Issue didnt go away. Spring came around - I put on new set of wheels and tires (factory spec) .I also flushed my transmission twice. Last Thursday was the second flush. My shudder has improved 90% after the first flush around 12,000 miles. It got better over time. I decided a second flush might be a good idea with 16,000 miles. My shudder is still lightly noticeable at speeds above 75 mph but nothing like it was before the first flush.Look for any leaks around the pan gasket and any hose connections. Run it through the gears R, D, 1, 2 without racing the engine. Then continue to slowly fill the transmission, checking the level every 2-3 oz to avoid overfilling. fluid changes to the new spec have indeed yielded a reduction of shudder if caused by the old fluid. Thats a logical first step to diagnosing a potentially deeper problem.
