Hi there Jaybear - I also had childhood asthma and was asymptomatic from about 10 on. I, however, never used medication after age 10 and played college football without a problem. I applied for and was denied waivers for both Navy and AF HPSP, but was granted a waiver by the Army this past spring. They did require all medical records and a new PFT.
